information about Gujarat solar rooftop
Gujarat is one of the leading states in India when it comes to solar energy production. The state has been consistently working towards achieving its goal of becoming a solar-powered state by promoting solar energy through various schemes and initiatives. One of the key initiatives taken by the Gujarat government to promote solar energy is the Gujarat Solar Rooftop Yojana.
The Gujarat Solar Rooftop Yojana was launched in 2016 with an aim to promote the installation of rooftop solar panels in residential, commercial, and industrial establishments in the state. The scheme offers financial incentives to individuals and organizations that install rooftop solar panels, making it an attractive option for those who want to switch to renewable energy sources.
Under the scheme, the Gujarat government offers a subsidy of up to 40% of the total cost of the rooftop solar panel installation. The subsidy is available for rooftop solar panels with a capacity of up to 3 kW for residential establishments and up to 100 kW for commercial and industrial establishments.
In addition to the subsidy, the Gujarat government also offers net metering facilities to those who install rooftop solar panels. Net metering allows individuals to feed the excess energy produced by their solar panels back into the grid, which is then credited to their electricity bill. This means that individuals can earn money by generating their own electricity through solar energy.
The Gujarat Solar Rooftop Yojana has been a success since its launch, with thousands of individuals and organizations opting for rooftop solar panel installations. As of March 2021, the state has a total installed solar capacity of 3,855 MW, making it one of the leading states in the country when it comes to solar energy production.
Apart from the Gujarat Solar Rooftop Yojana, the state has also implemented other initiatives to promote solar energy, such as the Gujarat Solar Policy, which aims to promote the installation of solar power plants in the state.
In conclusion, the Gujarat Solar Rooftop Yojana has been a game-changer in promoting the use of solar energy in the state. With financial incentives and net metering facilities, the scheme has made it easier for individuals and organizations to switch to renewable energy sources. The success of the scheme can be seen in the state's increasing solar energy production, which is a positive sign for the future of renewable energy in India.

i. The capacity of the previously implemented solar system is 10 kW. Less than, ii. Only 20% subsidy will be available on the increased solar capacity if the total capacity of the solar system with the increase of the capacity of the previously implemented solar system is up to 5 kV and if the total capacity of the solar system with the increase is more than 2 kV and 10 kV or less then only increased solar capacity. But 50% subsidy will be available. Subsidy will not be available on total solar system capacity of more than 10 kW.
